Poor quality - Marmot Tungsten Tent - 1 Person

Russ C.'s Review of Marmot Tungsten Tent - 1 Person
I bought the Tungsten 1-person tent due to cost , bonus footprint, and higher 68d Polyester Taffeta material for durability. Was I fooled! I used it 4th of July, first and only time used, and a small branch ripped a hole in the rain fly during a small mountain hailstorm.
I have used tents in the mountains for 10 years near trees and extreme weather and never had problems with durability. Marmot wants me to pay $30 per panel replacement (one required here). Instead, I'm using SeamGrip patch and vow to never again buy Marmot outdoor gear. Sticking with my REI brand tents. Much better quality and near same weight.
Thanks for nothing Marmot!
