Great boot - Merrell Phaser Peak Waterproof Backpacking Boot - Men's

I bought these for multi-day hikes with a semi heavy pack 35-45 lbs. They feel just like my old Solomons did, but I could not find a pair of those I liked this time. I have other Merrell shoes that I use for day hikes and love the comfort and durability. These boots did not disappoint. Comfortable right out of the box and so far seem very sturdy. I wish it had a locking lace tab like Solomons do,
