These were bought for a long hike coming up in a few months. I’ve started wearing them now to ensure I run into no problems. Well, I do have a folded piece of the internal part of the shoe that is digging into my heel. It’s not the end of the world and I am working on a solution. But, the boots are excellent (otherwise). Waterproof, thus far. Comfortable other than the small issue. Got a half size up to allow for thick hiking socks… good idea. Way to go Merrel!
