I think that these pants would be a bit light for some kinds of climbing. Although there is an extra layer of material on the knees and rear this is still fairly thin. They would not last long on abrasive rock. Good summer bouldering pants, excellent for slabs and faces, but keep them away from those granite chimneys and wide cracks.
