The Vortex Rope Bag has been a positive experience overall for me.
I wasn't sure if I would like the funnel style as opposed to the classic burrito style bags. The funnel style is very nice for packing up. It's super easy whether you just funnel it in to carry it a couple routes down or if you pack up all the way for a 20 min approach.
The bag allows me to put my 60m and 12 draws in with room to spare. Yet it compresses quite well. To the point that with this load, I can put it in my 40L pack with my harness, shoes and chalk bag. I did this for space saving in the car but works well also for long approaches as the single strap is good but not great.
Tarp is large but it can be awkward at times. Setup is a bit of a chore depending on the terrain. It's hard to keep the rope flaked nicely if you take the rope out of the bag and set it on the tarp. Otherwise, with the rope still sitting in the bag, the tarp doesn't lay out very well.
If you like funnel style bags, this one fits a large about of gear (if you truly filled it full) in my opinion, is great build quality, a good price, and hasn't given me any reasons to hang it up for good.
