High quality hiking shoes - Montrail Trans Alps Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Love these shoes! I was a little concerned at first as they seemed a bit snug but they quickly conformed to my feet and were very comfortable. I didn't bother to break them in but wore them on a 2-1/2 hour hike right out of the box. No problems. Toe box is wide enough to allow toes to "spread" and the cushioning is adequate. They provide good support and traction. They're not waterproof or water resistant but will provide many miles of happy hiking during the summer months. These are really nice, high quality shoes that I never could have afforded ordering directly from Columbia (unless they were on sale, which they weren't--I checked!) Very happy with my purchase.
