I grab this fleece anytime I'm hanging out when it's cold. Bouldering, wood splitting, fall camping, etc.
It is a little bulky and warm for layering. It has thick collar and cuffs which are nice on it's own but maybe not the best for layering under a tight fitting shell.
Caveat: I work for Mountain Equipment. But I did buy this product.
