These pants are my default piece of gear to wear every season. They're heavy enough to provide a decent amount of warmth and protection, but they're also light enough that you could hike on a warm day and not get overheated. Didn't finish or excellent of course as its Mountain Hardwear. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again
