Kevin's Review of Mountain Hardwear Cyclone Jacket - Men's
If you are looking at this jacket, it's probably because of the insanely breathable Neoshell. It definitely lives up to its name. May not be as warm as some other shells, but still does a pretty good job in moderate cold, and the ideal is to layer anyway. It also feels quality, with a nice stretch, and seams that will not pose any danger (sometimes a trade-off when getting a jacket with a color design like this). It also has room for layers underneath but is still cut well - and (perhaps depending on the chosen color - I looked at both gray and blue, but blue was the way to go) doesn't have too much of a "gear" vibe to wear around the city and look good. I have been wearing it even out of the rain.
Unlike a lot of the breathable jackets, it still has just huge pit zips, which is nice if you are being super active. I do wish that it had side hand pockets at the hip, but the upper ones are plenty roomy, and it is long enough that keeping something in your pants pocket would be the safest in the rain anyway. Haven't worn it in the rain yet, so I cannot attest to that - but the hydrostatic head of the fabric and the taped seams should make it zero issue.
I sometimes run a very clear small in shells, and other times am at the upper limit of a small, and could just as easily choose medium if I preferred a little bit looser. This was the latter category.
