Before i climb to Mt Rainier summit, I did mountaineering practice on weekend of May 7-8, 2016 up to Camp Muir (~10k ft). I purchased Mtn HW Direkt2 4 season tent specifically for this Mt Rainier Climb in June and Mt Baker climb in July. At the 10,000 ft base camp at Camp Muir, it was very strong wind starting from Sat 7pm until Sunday 9am. No one aimed to summit on Sunday. I was worried about my tent how sturdy it would be over night whether wind collapses my tent pole or pegs are ripped off from ground etc. I had no issue on Sunday morning. The system of tent with 2 poles support extremely well tent shape itself overnight. Pls note that I brought winter pegs by leaving original small summer pegs which came with the tent.
