The Lamina 35 was purchased on sale, at a great benefit to me because I'd been looking for a lightweight synthetic bag that could get down to the freezing level. On my first night of use in the Sipsey wilderness, the forecast was set at approximately 28°F. So I thought, great opportunity to test the bag and I'll take a puffy jacket just in case. Forecasters missed the mark big-time and the temperature plummeted all the way to 15° F. The good news is that the Lamina 35 handled the temperatures admirably. I had to get up a couple of times for condensation issues and tarp sag, but I was able to get sleep that night and never got seriously uncomfortable. For some time, I'd been wanting a lightweight synthetic bag that could handle the freezing mark for hiking in the Smoky Mountain springtime environment. The bag has met all of my expectations and at a great price. I saved over a pound from my 15°F down bag (650 down).
