Light yes, just for climbing? nope! - Mountain Hardwear Quasar Lite Jacket - Mens

I purchased this jacket for a few uses including spring hiking in the high peaks, backcountry skinning and just around town on cruddy days. i have found it excel at all of this but especially for its use skinning. pockets out of the way of my aibag pack, a wire rim hood that fits over my helmet, non-baggy style thjat still lets me put my down on both under or over the jacket ( the first for cold ski days, the latter to stay warm during breaks or switching from skinning to skiing) and the first jacket without pit zips that i didnt miss them! yep its a great climbing jacket im sure....its for sure a great backcountry ski jacket!
