C Squatch's Review of Mountainsmith Lariat 65 L Backpack
This is a great pack for the money. HD Cordura but lightweight. Like the roll top closure instead of the rook sac type allows more stuff and easier access. Good adjustments for custom fit. They could design the detachable day pack better,,, it needs a hip belt and could use a chest cross strap but still worked well and can put your camel pack in the mess pocket that holds the shoulder straps while attached to the main pack. Had a big Alex 100 pack trying to down size and it worked got all my gear in it. 4 day high Unitas wilderness trip plenty of room. P.S their tens and sweet too.
Pros:
functioinality
Price & durability
Cons:
Day pack straps
Best Used for:
Multi day backpacking
