To replace damaged tent poles, there are several cottage industries that make up replacement poles to exact specifications and at a reasonable price. For our Canadian friends who run into problems of finding replacements, please contact the Commissioners in a local unit of Scouts Canada. They deal with this stuff all of the time. If they can connect you with a repair shop for aircraft aluminum poles on the North side of the 49th Parallel, you will save money. If you cannot find a local Council of Scouts Canada, just click on the search bar for that link and go from there. I share information with units in BC; I live in WA State about 200 km from companion units, mostly in the Vancouver Area. We have Scouts who cross the border frequently in both directions and this is not hard to do. Scouts North can take home tent poles and Customs will not fuss about it; after all, it is about Scout Camping and no one is going to worry about a $20 item. Please do not post my e-mail for public use; I am a Scout Commissioner and not a clearing house for equipment purchases.
