It's definitely child resistant. Borderline adult resistant too. If you tighten this even a little more than is required, it is a pain to get off. The problem is the extreme downward pressure required to engage the twist ring conflicts with your effort to turn it. I've cursed this design on many a cold day with my gloves off trying to unscrew the cap. Do yourself a favor and get the standard threaded cap with the ring on it. They call it the expedition version. Probably because children aren't on an expedition and the last thing you want to do is fling this off a cliff wrestling with it.

  • Feats of strength and challenges on who can open it for prizes.
