We got this tent specifically for car camping for myself and my husband. It is spacious for 2, but if we wanted to put 3 in there, it would be a tight fit. We used it for a 3 week camping trip in New Mexico, on the high bluffs at 8000 feet and even with unexpected 60+ mph winds with gusts even higher, the tent bowed a bit, but held up very nicely.
