Msr makes great mountian tents - MSR Nook Tent - 2 Person, 3 Season

at 3lbs its not quite as light as the big agnes fly creek tents but at half the the price the extra lb isnt too bad. Space is great for a guy and his dog or gear. Probably a little snug for 2. I love it as a solo tent. The hiking pole rear splint thing works but staking it out is better. With six stakes this thing is tight and weather proof. Very happy with this tent. I was happy with the msr hubba and msr microzoid I had before buying this. For me its the perfect compromise between light weight and elbow room. MSR has a great warranty if you should ever need it. I have had lots of their products and never had a problem
