Don's Review of MSR ToughStake Snow and Sand Tent Stakes
These work perfectly in loose sand on beach in Alabama. I'd recommend the medium size for any canopies 10 x 10 or greater to prevent wind issues. Also recommend having a soft headed hammer or rubber mallet to help set the stakes. I also painted the sections of the guide wires that were extruding from the sand for better visibility.
