The pack has a nice harness system. There is a dedicated compartment for avalanche equipment. It appeared a little heavy to me. In, addition mystery ranch has a new ice ax attachment system. The top compression strap is used to secure the ice ax. This seems somewhat suspect on security of ic tool. I returned it.
