James W.'s Review of Nalgene Stainless Bottles
Nalgene Stainless Steel bottles don't have a welded seam down the middle like other bottles so the Nalgene design is better. The threads for the cap are welded on, not stamped into the bottle, so the inner wall of the neck is completely smooth. This aids in cleaning. The lid is removable and is held on with a piece of small rope. You can remove the lid, and use the groove for the lid rope to suspend the bottle over a fire for boiling water in. You have to rig a way to do that with a Kleen Kanteen by getting a fish jaw spreader. Unfortunatly the 38 oz seems to be unavailable now leaving only the 27oz backpacker version.
