Cascades13's Review of NEMO Equipment Aurora Tent and Footprint - 2 Person
How often can you find a 2P tent made by Nemo under $200? Plus, it comes with a footprint! Super easy to setup. Symmetrical so no need to match up the fly to the tent. Roomy, lots of pockets, and can be split between 2 backpackers for reasonable load share. Sits right at 5lbs, freestanding, idiot proof setup (don’t forget to set the top cross pole into both the tent and rain fly grommets). From there, it’s fairly streamlined and straightforward to finish setup. Only cons would be maybe lighter tent stakes, and a smaller stuff bag/sack. Outside of that, you won’t regret this tent. Bonus: there’s a snap in floor sheet so your doggie won’t damage the ground, and trust me, there’s plenty of room for them too..if not, you can set them out outside one of the large vestibules on each side!
Pros:
Easy Set Up
Free Standing
Pockets for days
symmetrical
lots of sit up space
Cons:
Stuff sack too big
Best Used for:
Car camping and backpacking
Would Recommend:
Yes
