Not for me - Nikon Monarch 5 12x42mm Roof Prism Binocular

Thought these would be perfect for my use as a Fire Lookout. I just wanted something with more magnification than 10x and that wasn’t so heavy as most 12x50 binos. I need binos with interpupillary distance of 55-56 which seem hard to find. These were listed at the low end at 56 but it still seemed impossible to avoid the black space that occurs when that distance in the binoculars isn’t close enough for my eyes. In addition, these binos had a very stiff focus wheel that made a quick focus difficult. May work for others but this just wasn’t gonna cut it for my use.
