These boots were the 6th or 7th pair I have tried. they looked cute, which let's be honest is important for most women, however MOST importantly they were comfortable. I wore them the same day for a 4 mile hike with no issues and I have extremely problematic feet! It was a snowy trail, and I did slip a bit, but I live in the South so this is not typical weather. Cannot say if they are truly waterproof, as I did not submerge, but they did great keeping my feet dry in light snow.
