I have gone through at least 20 pair of Merrill Moab Ventilators which are a decent shoe for the $ but I found the quality of these shoes diminishing rapidly with use. So I "stepped up" to a pair of Oboz Bridgers when I first saw them in Sedona, AZ. I then took these to Maui for some hiking and vacationing and loved them. I'm in the craft beer biz and set up large sp events on weekends so I wear these in outdoor environments that are drenched in beer and cold temps. The Oboz were put to the test at our recent Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco where I spent 45 hours wearing them in 3 days. They don't smell so good now but I like them so much that I just bought another pair through Campsaver which incidentally has THE best price on these shoes. I have hiked around the world and find these shoes to be the second best pair that I have ever owned. You won't be disappointed and Campsaver's service is excellent. One last thing on these shoes, the traction/grip is incredible. I feel that I could walk up buildings with these things!
