Bought this stove based on review from lite hiking blog. Seeking light butane stove w/ simmer capacity for 3 week backpack trip in Sierras. Tested on 1-week trip in high elevation Idaho wilderness. Light, easy set up, low-to-ground stove design detached from canister allows use of windscreen. A bit longer boil time than MSR 'pocket rocket'. Simmer is advantage although set rather high--difficult to keep from boiling over cooking spaghetti. Performed well at 9-10,000 feet. A little finicky in wind even with wind screen. No-burn handle is nice but could easily be damaged if left against pot. Fairly efficient fuel use-11 meals & fuel left in 460 ml canister. Nesting a little problematic; cannot put both stove & medium size canister in the pot.
