We bought some orange screws during their Kickstarter campaign last summer and used the large ones to anchor our group shelter on a recent grand canyon rafting trip. The small ones work as great tent stakes in loose soil and are currently being used to hold tarps over our firewood piles. And they ar...

I have a 60 pound dog and have used this with her multiple times. Works in sand as well as in dirt. Takes a bit of time to put in, but it's definitely secure. Have used it at the beach as well as the park a few times. I set it up and then attach about a 10-12ft leash to the top loop keep her stationary.
Generally takes about 30 seconds to set up, depending on how firm the ground is. I think it would probably snap if you didn't put it all the way in, so it may not work in some terrains if the ground is too firm about 10-12" below surface.
Pros:
easy to use, secure
Cons:
NONE
Best Used for:
dogs

The absolute best and most versatile anchor I’ve ever used; especially at the beach. While the others were chasing their canopies, or having to use cement blocks, I was equipped with the Orange Screw. For those on the purchasing fence, go ahead and get off onto the Orange Screw side. You won’t be disappointed.

Bought to use to secure a sun/rain shelter (Kelty Noah's tarp). Haven't tried yet, so 5 stars may be a bit ambitious but looks like a cool idea and seems like it should create a solid anchor.

Still too snowy here to try out. But it looks like it will fit the bill, strong and light weight enough to carry backpacking, in case I need a place to tether my dog.
