More room in this pack than you think. I stuffed it full of gear for two days of multi-pitch climbing. On the approach and back to the car lot after climbing, I secured my rope and helmet and it was perfect. The adjustable straps ensured a perfect fit. It was loaded, but comfortable and felt natural and kind of hard to notice. If you're smart about how you pack it, the thing works perfectly. The material is super abrasive also. I tossed it down a couple of times on the rock with no impact.
