Acceptable but needs a wider hipbelt - Osprey Talon 6 Pack
by

I purchased the Talon 6 for short hikes and summer use. Other reviews have mentioned that they would like to see a wider hipbelt, which would make the pack more comfortable around the waist, and I would agree with that sentiment. I also noticed that the pack leans away from your body at the top if you pack heavier items up high.
That being said, I used it for the first time last weekend and it got the job done during a 5-mile hike - just enough room for my ultralight rain jacket, a wind shirt, Mont-Bell Thermawrap vest, a beanie, a headlamp (just in case), a Clif bar, a couple of packages of cheese and peanut butter snack crackers, digital camera and a monocular. I like the water bottle setup and the way the bottles stay secure in their respective pockets. It took some getting used to the way the pack bounces a little while you are walking, but after a while I got used to it.
Osprey, if you are reading this, please make this pack with a wider hip belt in its next iteration!
Pros:
Lifetime Guarantee
Cons:
Narrow hip belt
