My new favorite coat. - Outdoor Research Cathode Hooded Jacket - Womens

I've been a fan of Outdoor Research for years and own their Stormbound and Lodestar coats as well. When I bought this I was simply expecting a nice light outer layer that would do me well on brisk mornings, but it provided beyond that. I've paired it with a merino midlayer and been comfortable in 30F mornings, worn it alone on 45F mornings that warmed to 65F (still had my coat on) and never felt cold or overheated. It breathes well, it somehow keeps me super comfortable in a wide range of temperatures, and it's super ultra lightweight and easily balls up into a pack or bag when I decide it needs to come off. Couldn't recommend this coat enough. My only complaint is the length on the women's coat could be a *little* longer, definitely won't really stay under a harness while moving but other than that, this coat is wonderful.
