These leggings are excellent once you've found the right size. If you have hips at all definitely size up one or even two sizes. The waist is extremely small and does not stretch much so keep this in mind while selecting a size. Once I found the right fit I love them. They are durable and seem like they would be fairly water repellent. I haven't had a chance to take them on any truly long hikes yet but they seem like they would be comfortable. One issue that I could see is that they may not breathe well, but I haven't had them long enough to see if this is the case. Ì do like the fabric and I think these will be a staple on backpacking trips.
