apjrider's Review of Outdoor Research Igneo Jacket - Women's
I have owned a previous version of the Igneo jacket for 4 years now. I like it so much, I decided it was time to get a new one. These jackets have just the right amount of insulation--not too much to feel bulky, not too little that you feel chilled with a light base or mid-layer. They have amply long sleeves, with large, functional pockets, and a helmet-compatible hood that isn't so huge that it feels intrusive. The jacket has never let me down in the worst of storms as far as water proofing and breathability. One word of "warning" is that this jacket runs quite large. I typically fit well in a medium, and find that this jacket fits me very well in a small, and I've heard others say the same. Consider ordering a size smaller if you are sometimes in between sizes. Even the size small is a generous fit yet is still shaped nicely and avoids a boxy look.
Pros:
Pockets
Light insulation
not boxy
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
resort skiing
Would Recommend:
Yes
