I wore this hat while out fishing for 5 hours in sunny 75 degree weather. While in the boat, the sun was beating down on my head and the hat never felt hot to the touch, whereas my previous hat would have soaked up the heat! It kept my head cool as well as blocked the hot sun from my face. I cannot wait to wear it on my canoe trip in the BWCA at the end of this month. It was super light weight and allowed my head to breath on a hot day. I also liked the shorter brim as it blocked the sun but didn’t block my view. A great buy!
