Aplus's Review of Outdoor Research Stormtracker Sensor Gloves - Men's
Since a total failure of an all-leather glove on a recent ice-climbing trip (the inner lining separated from the leather outer in driving rain and I could not get my hands inside the glove) I have been searching for a replacement. I have actually bought 6 different pairs of gloves from different manufacturers - and this is my favourite.
I find with gloves that it is all in the fit and the wearing. This gloves fits like a second skin, very tactile even with the leather covered palm (which is very soft). They are a warm functional glove but in wear seem more like a liner. In fact I have taken to wearing them inside a mitten when conditions require it, rather than switching to a different glove.
All in all a great glove for alpine and ski touring, technical use where dexterity (not warmth) is the major preoccupation. Not enough use to determine wear characteristics yet.

Pros:
- Soft and tactile. The leather is especially smooth and has great feel
- Works well with GPS touch sensitive screen
Cons:
- Not water proof
Best Used for:
- Ice-climbing technical use but I use them to boil a billy of hot water and prepare food.
