Nikhil K.'s Review of Pacsafe Venturesafe X30 Backpack

I recently purchased the Venturesafe X30 Backpack (in the greenish color) as I am frequently traveling abroad for global health work. So far, the backpack feels comfortable and sturdy. It does have a very upright design, so it does not sag in the back like I've seen with Victorinox bags (which are huge and probably uncomfortable on the back). The anti-theft locking mechanisms for the backpack are a bit tricky to use, or at least to get used to, but seem to function well once connected. The manner in which the backpack has been divided into main storage pockets, zipped pockets, etc. is proving quite handy and makes for easy organization of items. I have yet to require the rain guard, but did put it out from the bottom and it seems like it should properly protect the backpack and its contents. My only criticism now is that the main shoulder straps for holding the backpack seem to have too much slack material. Although there's a band to keep these wrapped together, it makes it more difficult (and less desirable) to adjust the shoulder straps. Probably there is a reason this is so long...maybe for security reasons, but I sort of prefer traditional straps that can be easily adjusted. I'm in Cameroon now and so far, no issues. People do steal packs
