My husband has an 800 fill Patagonia down jacket from almost 10 years ago, and while he's used the heck out of it, there are a few holes here and there that we've had to repair over the years. Although it's still 100% usable, figured he needed something that didn't look so "loved." The fabric is a thicker weave and seems much more resilient - we're looking forward to years of rough and tumble use! And the added plus, looks great for heading into town!
