Patagonia Dual Point Alpine Pants - 20170928
Just received these pants today so my assessment of performance in cold weather and snow will have to come later. Purchased for late fall/winter/early spring hiking/snow shoeing on mountain trails. The fit is perfect for me - 74" tall, 180 lbs, size 36. I can wear with or without a baselayer and still have a comfortable fit. Material allows for unconstrained full motion. Suspenders work fine. While I usually keep my pockets empty, the leg pockets expand and easily accommodate an iPhone 6, wallet, snacks, or compass. I am pleased with my purchase. Will update the rating and performance once I have had a chance to use them.
Pros:
- Functionality
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- HIKING

all round pant
I got these to replace my old Patagonia guide pants. These new ones aren't lined, nor do they have thigh vents, so they won't be as useful for back country skiing as the old ones. The suspenders on these are much, much too long. The pants aren't too long, for me at 5'6" but the suspenders are made for someone 6' tall or more. I wish these had more pockets. That said, I'll keep wearing them into the winter to see how they do.
