Icebreaker is better - Patagonia Merino 3 Midweight Crew - Men's

I have a 16" neck, 33" sleeve, 36" waist, and normally wear medium shirts. I bought a Large to accommodate my pot belly. Fit is form fitting and good. Bought this on the promise of less scratchiness and the hope it would hold up better with the 25% poly blend. I'll keep it, but only as a backup to the Icebreaker Tech Crew Shirt I also bought (elsewhere). The icebreaker is better fitting and much, much less scratchy. The Patagonia is OK but feels a little scratchy. The Icebreaker barely has any scratchiness at all, and only after I heat up a bit. The odor eating quality of the icebreaker's 100% wool also seems much better than the Patagonia's 25% poly blend.
