I now own 5 pairs of these, my first was purchased over 3 years ago. I used them for jogging, road and mtb biking and use them just for everyday shorts. These hold up really well and will last a very long time. The fit is really good, loose feeling but not baggy or saggy looking. Most of my shorts are size L and one is 36" they all fit really well for me, my favorite is the 36 but they are basically the same size. I'm stocky and a true 36 so don't buy bigger than your size
