Pants are fairly baggy below the knee, with leg opening at roughly 9". Too baggy for me, might be fine for you.
Otherwise, I can see these pants being excellent for climbing & hiking/backpacking. I have the Zion shorts and the material is awesome: stretchy, breathable, and durable.
