I use the Apex primarily for cave exploring. Now I have 3 of them that I use for my family and to loan to friends. For the money, this is the best headlight on the market. While the Stenlight is brighter, it costs 3 times as much. These lights are durable and long lasting. The produce a great amount of light. I rarely use mine on the highest setting.
