This headlamp turned out to be everything I had hoped for. That extra AAA battery makes a big difference. It is bright and long-lasting. It does, however, come with a great feature.that is also something of a glitch..
On the plus side, this headlamp will definitely not accidentally turn on in your backpack / fannypack, so you don't have to worry about dead batteries when you need it.
The negative? That same on / off switch is a real pain to deal with. It does take some getting used to.
