Several years ago I purchased a pair of Rab Latok gloves. Used by me to ice climb in colder conditions. They were wrist length, insulated ,waterproof and the palm was covered with a synthetic gridwork that was very thin and grippy. Perfect for holding ice axes. I searched for a new pair and was happy to see that Rab still made the Latok but, it's not the same glove. It now has a longer gauntlet length and a leather palm which is very slippery. OK I suppose for an approach glove but, not useful for climbing vertical ice pitches. On the plus side they did not cost too much and will get used to bushwhack to the base of climbs.
This review was written in the old system and had content requirements that are different than reviews written today.
