Kerog's Review of Rab Positron Pro Jacket - Men's

I'm not a mountain climber. I'm using this primarily as a winter house jacket. I also use it for apres ski and around town. I really like this jacket. It's very comfortable. I love the outer pocket on the chest I actually wish they had one on both sides. It's very breathable, light, warm and cozy. When you zip the jacket up you can bring the zipper from the bottom of the jacket. That's that's designed for mountain climbing gear, but it's nice to have just when you're sitting down in a chair with the jacket on and you want to keep the jacket zipped, you can unzip the bottom so it loosens up a little bit around your waist. Sometimes this feature actually brings the zipper up when you don't want it but hey do have a little button on the button bottom to secure it but sometimes I forget to do that. There are velcro wrist closures to cinch the wrists to your wrist size. This is good and bad. It does cinch nicely, I have skinny wrists So it's nice to keep the cold air out. However, I'm not a huge fan of having this strap around the wrist. I wish it was just spandex. But it's not a deal breaker. There are other models that pack down smaller but for my use this one packs down just fine. Some reviews said the hood was a little loose. It has a little velcro cinch on the back that you can adjust it and it has two cinch straps on the inside of the hood so you can make it more snug. I have a pinhead and it's fine for me. All in all, I really like this jacket. It's warm, comfortable, durable. I'm not a fan of rab using their logo right on the chest. Someone asked me if I was Australian because I pronounced my name Rab and not Rob. Try the veal I'm here all night.
