These scarpa ribelle hd boots are my new favorite when hitting the trail. - Scarpa Scarpa Ribelle HD Mountaineering Shoes - Men's

I bought these boots as a lighter alternative to my Scarpa Mont Blanc GTX that I wore for 3 Mt. Rainier and 3 Mt. Adams summit's since 2013. The 40 1/2, 7.5 mens size fit the same as my new Scarpa Ribelle HD boots. I purchased the Ribelle boots as a sturdy but much lighter boot to summit Mt Kilimanjaro in July 2020. I wore these boots for 2 days before taking them on the trail. The grip of the soles and comfort of these boots is outstanding. Getting into the Ribelle is a bit tight, but that's a major benefit when going down a steep grade. I add a gel cushioned insole for more comfort and insulation. I really appreciate the ample toe box too. These boots are comfortable at 70 degrees F and so far have been comfortable to just below freezing. I can drive a car safely while wearing these boots. Something I can't do while wearing th Mt. Blanc boots.These Ribelle HD boots are my new favorite when hitting the trail!
