I had almost given up on Scarpa, I had tried a lower end Scarpa boot that had a extreamly narrow fit and I was not impressed. A few years later I figured that I'd give the Zanskar a try, after all they get rave reviews from every website, are one of Scarpa's high end models, and the kenisis pro is just more of a bombproof boot that's a whole lot more then what I'd need for my hikes. I'm really liking the fit and feel of these boots, very little if any break in time. I wore them to walk my dog a few times and then took them into the mountains of New Mexico where I live to test them out. Great feel and breathability, great support, nice robust and comfortable leather, and great Itallian craftsmanship. I have very picky feet and most boots don't feel good to me. I get blisters on my heels easily, and really don't like boots that take a long break in period. These Scarpa's have been wonderful so far. My feet run hot and I have narrow, low volume heels with a wide toe area, normal to low volume feet, low to normal arches, and like a snug boot that does not cause heel slip. I find these boots to fit my picky feet and they did not cause any hot spots or blisters. These boots are keepers and I highly recommend them. Other boots that fit me well are Crispi Wyoming's, Hanwag boots, and the original 1st Salomon quest 4d gtx boots. If you are a fan of the above mentioned brands, give these a try! If you have wide, high volume feet, and big thick heels then these boots are not for you.
