Used this mattress twice so far. It replaces a OP Peak AC, which was half the weight, bulk and price. However, after several great years of use the Peak no longer functions and repair efforts have not worked due to continued delamination. The twelve ounce weight penalty, though huge "on paper" gets lost in the variable nature of loading 22-35 lbs. for given events. The bulk becames a non-issue when I chose to fold the Comfort Plus flat and lay it behind my sleeping bag in my bottom compartment. And the price at this point is a spent cost, as in history bearing no impact on future experiences.
Thought I would miss the side rails of my old mattress. Reality is the Comfort Plus held a little short of full inflation has all the "cradling" necessary to keep me cozy and centered. The fabric has just enough tack and is not noisy. I will continue to guard this mattress as I did my last (i.e.: placing it inside my bag when sans tent etc.). But between the feel of the fabric and the structural nature of the air bulbs formed by inflation I feel the Comfort Plus could likely endure a little more abuse that the Peak. Keeping in mind that delamination did in my last mattress I also like the round welds that reduce the stress riser effect at the weld edge.
All indicators thus far suggest I have selected my new favorite air matress for backpacking, motorcycle camping and "fly'n light" car camping.
