Idea good but practical application poor without modifications - Sea to Summit Mosquito Pyramid Net

I was looking for bug protection when tarp or cowboy camping. The hanging cord must be deployed too high for normal tarp camping to keep the netting off your body (as is, impossible to keep it off your lower body under a tarp). I deployed my tarp at 43" high in the front gradually slopping to 36" in the rear. The front is the approximate interior of most 1 or 2 person tents. Hooked into the ridgeline at maximum height near the front of the tarp, the netting was touching my body everywhere but my chest, directly below the ridgeline hook. Camp Saver graciously gave me a price match on this item so I don't feel it right to return. I will try to make some modifications to make it work (make a square attach point with duct tape near the middle of the leg and hook that into my ridgeline. At a normal tarp height of 43-44" in the front ridgeline, I can only try to figure out some way to spread the netting to make it work at the head end. The two person version has a spreader bar for this reason. If you can hang it high enough (over a tree limb for example) the Pyramid Net might work for cowboy and bivy camping, but I wouldn't recommend it for tarp camping as is.
