Runs very small - Sierra Designs Tepona Wind Jackets - Women's

I typically wear a size 10 dress/pants and a medium/large top. I buy large most often since I'm 6ft tall. However, I ordered this coat as an XL to comfortably layer with bulkier tops as needed while hiking. When it arrived I immediately gulped because it looked like a kids coat. The XL fit more like a small/medium. It could still work if I didn't need to layer it over warmer gear, but I purposely ordered an XL thinking it would be at least a standard large. Order two or three sizes up. On the plus side, the fabric was exceptionally lightweight and otherwise comfortable while wearing a tshirt underneath. I wish I didn't need to return it. I would gladly swap it for a better size but a standard large would likely need to be a 3xl. Plan accordingly.
