The tent proved to be a breeze to set up even in difficult campsites. It is free standing and did not even stake it down most nights. The outer cover is designed in such a way one can keep the windward side down and the other side tied off high to vent the tent. It is roomy for one person and all their gear inside, zip it up and your in for the night. 2 people can fit quite well as I bought the XL
