I used the hoody as a baselayer on a fairly rigorous hike in the midst of Virginia winter, just below freezing temperature. It wicked the sweat moisture easily from my body, and I felt dry and comfortable throughout the hike. The hood kept the back of my neck warm when stationary, while wicking away beads of perspiration streaming down my head as my body temperature rose. I had a smartwool mid lay
